April Prayers: For Healing

We are experiencing an unexpected wave of sickness in the land.  Over the past few months, the novel coronavirus (also known as COVID-19) has swept the nation, taking along with it the lives of various men and women, even throughout the world.  We ask God for not only wisdom as we move forward, since we have turned to meeting online and via the telephone to prevent spreading the virus, but also for the healing of our nation.  The Word of God says that "If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land." (2 Chron. 7:14)

Brothers and sisters, we have time to reflect on our walk with the Lord to make our calling and election sure (2 Peter 1:10), and we are on the mission field!  We are in a position to intercede on behalf of our nation, to draw closer to God, to share a message of hope, of faith, and of HEALING!  The Lord's sacrificial giving of His Son has not been in vain: "with his stripes we are healed." (Isaiah 53:5).  If we do not stand up and gird ourselves with the truth, who will?

As we draw upon Palm Sunday and Easter, the question begs: "Who hath believed our report? and to whom is the arm of the Lord revealed?" (Isaiah 53:1).  If not us, then who?
